Go Virtual With TEACH: 2020 Educator In-Service

This spring, Houston educators adjusted, adapted, and went the (virtual) distance to teach and reach students. While TEACHers worked out the bugs in their online classrooms, we took the opportunity to ask how TEACH could best support them. And now, it’s time to go back to class!

To Educate All Children (TEACH) invites educators to “Go Virtual With TEACH” in a series of online and interactive training sessions from August 24 through September 4.

Participants will have access to tools that further prepare them for the new dynamic of virtual teaching and learning. Developed in response to the needs expressed by our educators this spring, TEACH’s customized training will address three main areas:

• Setting Up Successful Routines and Procedures
• Creating Engaging Lessons
• Checking for Understanding

Since 2005, TEACH has offered Houston educators intensive training and coaching in de-escalation and conflict resolution to promote calmer and more productive classrooms, to decrease disciplinary referrals, and to improve student achievement. Whether virtually or side-by-side, TEACH stands with educators. We are excited to support them as we navigate this new teaching environment together.
