DETAILS: On Wednesday, September 25, TEACH hosted its gala kickoff at Chanel in The Galleria. Hosts Susan D. Sarofim, co-founder of TEACH, and Jo Lynn Falgout welcomed 80 guests for an evening of champagne, palomas, and light bites to celebrate the organization’s upcoming event. Following a few remarks from Susan and TEACH Executive Director Nory Angel, guests enjoyed music and hors d’oeuvres by A Fare Extraordinaire while perusing Chanel’s fall-winter 2019/20 collection.

About To Educate All Children
TEACH aims to make Houston a model city for how teachers are trained to work with underserved students by helping to develop schools in the Houston Independent School District (HISD) that set the standard for classroom management and calm classroom cultures. TEACH’s mission is to provide educators with intensive training in de-escalation and conflict resolution to promote calmer and more productive classrooms, to decrease disciplinary referrals and to improve student achievement.
