Who we are:

TEACH is a community impact organization currently operating in Houston Independent School District schools that are located in predominantly low-income neighborhoods. TEACH focuses on empowering educators by helping them to build safe and calm classrooms through its ENVoY program model. ENVoY is an intensive training and coaching model for classroom management which focuses on areas such as de-escalation, conflict resolution, building students’ self-image, relationship building, and nonverbal communication.

TEACH is on a trajectory of fast growth and is seeking highly experienced educators who are ready to have a larger impact on the school system. We are creating a learning, growing and thriving organization and need YOUR unique set of talents and skills in a classroom to help us empower more educators!

 

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking enthusiastic, creative, skilled leaders with a background in education to be a part of our dynamic team of leading trainers and coaches who will help launch and support our ENVoY model implementation in academic settings throughout the greater Houston area.

 

What you’d do:

  • Lead & Manage
    • Lead a growing team of 12 Educational Coaches
    • Build a high performing team focused on achieving the organizational and programmatic goals
  • Direct Service & Certification Development
    • Provide coaching and training support to one campus
    • Obtain certification in our ENVoY based coaching methods
    • Attend extensive Professional Development workshops
  • Performance Management & Counseling
    • Facilitate the development of individual staff work plans
    • Regular check-ins with team members to discuss progress to goals on work plan
    • Coaching team members and helping them grow in their roles as coaches and subject matter experts
  • Quality Assurance
    • Semi-monthly site visits to ensure quality coaching on campuses
    • Scheduling support
    • Weekly data review and follow-up (quality and quantity)
    • Monitor progress and provide onboarding support to new program staff
    • Monthly data review
      • Professional Development (PD) progress reports
      • Coaching progress reports
  • Special Project & Systems Support
    • Update and draft policies (as needed)
    • Manage program staff around delivery of special events and activities

 

What you’ve done:

  • Managed a group of teachers/staff members towards goals as a school or nonprofit leader for at least 3 years.
  • Worked in a school and taught students… for at least 5 years.
  • Taught in a variety of settings (buildings, grade levels, etc.) with a variety of people.
  • Understand the needs of high poverty/urban schools – even better if you’ve worked in one.
  • Helped out your colleagues… formally or informally, become even better at their craft.
  • Graduated from college and earned your teacher certification.
