May 16, 2019

Events and Communications Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Director of Development

EFFECTIVE DATE: August 1, 2019

Who we are: To Educate All Children (TEACH) is an educational non-profit organization 501(c)(3) that currently serves over 1,000 educators in the Houston Independent School District (HISD). The majority of TEACH schools are Title 1 and are located in under-resourced neighborhoods. TEACH empowers educators by helping them build safe, calm and productive classrooms through TEACH’s ENVoY program model. ENVoY is an intensive training and coaching model for classroom management which focuses on areas such as de-escalation, conflict resolution, building students’ self-image, relationship building, and nonverbal communication.

TEACH is on a trajectory of fast growth and is seeking team members who are ready to help TEACH have a larger impact in HISD schools and beyond. We are creating a learning, growing and thriving organization and need a candidate with a unique set of talents and skills to help us empower more educators!

Results:

HISD’s Research and Accountability studies have found that:

  • 97.9% of teachers believe TEACH strategies have made a difference in their classroom.
  • 95% of teachers agree that it is easier to gain and maintain student attention using TEACH strategies.
  • 92% of teachers believe they can more easily handle small student incidents without escalating into major disciplinary problems.
