JOB TITLE: Trainer                                              

REPORTS TO: Leader of Training Excellence

EFFECTIVE DATE: January 7, 2019

 

Who we are:

TEACH is a community impact organization currently operating in Houston Independent School District schools that are located in predominantly low-income neighborhoods. TEACH focuses on empowering educators by helping them to  build safe and calm classrooms through its intensive training and coaching on classroom management which focuses on areas such as de-escalation, conflict resolution, building students’ self-image, and nonverbal communication.

TEACH is on a trajectory of fast growth and is seeking highly experienced educators who are ready to have a larger impact on the school system. We are creating a learning, growing and thriving organization and need YOUR unique set of talents and skills in a classroom to help us empower more educators!

 

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking enthusiastic, creative, skilled, master administrators and/or teachers to be a part of our dynamic team of trainers and coaches who will help launch and support our ENVoY model implementation in academic settings throughout the greater Houston area.

 

What you’d do:

  • Provide engaging, high-quality TEACH training, which includes managing training logistics, setting up classrooms to ensure optimal learning, transporting large easels and poster bags in and out of schools, often.  
  • Train amazing teachers who work with incredible students.
  • Become a role-play master.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and training materials.
  • Form supportive, warm relationships with teachers as you coach and develop them into high TEACH skill implementers.
  • Support students by providing the highest quality professional development to their teachers, helping them become even better at what they do.
  • Illuminate, vocalize and connect ideas to enhance TEACH’s strategic vision.
  • Achieve certification on the ENVoY model.

 

What you’ve done:

  • Demonstrated comfort in leading effective and engaging small and large groups trainings.  
  • Developed training curriculum.
  • Graduated college and earned your teacher certification.
  • Worked in a school and taught students… for at least 5 years.
  • Taught in a variety of settings (buildings, grade levels, etc) with a variety of people.
  • Understand the needs of high poverty/urban schools- even better if you’ve worked in one.
  • Helped out your colleagues… formally or informally, become even better at their craft.

 

What we offer:

  • Competitive Salary in the mid $60’s depending on experience and prior accomplishments, with a pay increase contingent on certification in our training methods.
