POSITION TITLE: Educational Coach

Job Summary

 

Members of our educational team support, train and coach teachers on classroom management and de-escalation strategies. Our curriculum focuses on de-escalation, conflict resolution, nonverbal communication, and building the self-confidence of every student. New coaches will be intensively trained in TEACH methods, strategies, and coaching approaches and will receive ongoing support from the TEACH team. All TEACH strategies focus on helping educators create a safe, calm learning environment for students.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Visits teachers in their classrooms and provides immediate feedback on observations. Forms supportive, warm relationships within assigned TEACH schools.

2. Illuminate, vocalize and connect ideas to enhance TEACH’s strategic vision

 

3. Contribute to the development of curriculum and training materials.

Job Requirements

Work Experience:  A minimum 5 years of successful teaching experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree in education preferred, alternative education certification programs accepted.

 

Type of skill and/or required licensing/certification: 5 years minimum teaching experience, completion of a certified education program (including alternative certification), experience instructing and collaborating with fellow teachers, experience mentoring other teachers. TEACH offers competitive salary and benefits package.
